Happy New Year

so far 2011 has been crazy!! We have had so much going on, it's been hard to smell the roses. There have been wonderful things happening to us and those around us but I am having a hard time getting out of this slump. I am not quite sure what affects me more? The crap weather, inversion, the holidays and so forth. Meanwhile others don't seem to have a bad attitude or be grumpy all the time..... From today on I am going to try and appreciate what a great life I have been blessed with and love and serve those around me.

Over Christmas we moved to a new to us, older home. It has been great to have a little bit more space. My girls have loved having "carpet" and seem to enjoy so much space to play in. I love the house and little by little it feels more like home.

Mia is half way through her first year of kindergarten and loves going to school. She has a wonderful teacher that goes above and beyond. My once tiny baby is turning into a "sassy girl" and it has been a hard for her and I to get along as we once did. I think she needs to work on her attitude and so do I! I need to be more patient and a better listener. She had a lot to say and I need to be better at validating her thoughts and feelings. She is still a beautiful person inside and out and has the most loving heart. I love her deep compastion for others. I am learning to be more like her:).

My Sophie girl is a spitfire! she has her own way of thinking and doing and she wants it her way! She is so happy and full of energy and life. Luckily she will let me hold her and kiss her once and awhile but my baby is getting so big. It has been so great not changing any diapers. Soph has been potty trained since July!!!! It is has been something I have been so thankful for. She loves to be a big girl and she is so proud.

I am so excited to finally become an auntie this summer! My brother and his wife are gracing my girls with a cousin! So much joy is coming in the summer, We are so excited. They will be such great parents and show their little one so much love. They are such a great aunt and uncle to my little ladies.

I am thankful for loving family and friends. I hope this year can be one of the best for all of you! We just need to be patient for spring!!! Love to you all! xoxox
